Guest Magwitch
Me and Inan were out knocking on a few farmers doors today and got talking to one of the farmers we do some ferreting for and he told us that the farmer next door to him had been using one of these verminator thingys on the rabbits, i thought they were only good for rats myself but he seemed impressed with it. Does anyone else know of any farmers using one and if so are they any good. :realmad: Edited April 9, 2007 by Magwitch Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
well at £1800 there wont be too many farmers wanting to pay that kind of money when we do it for free and they get bunnies out of us.... have a look on u tube theres a video of what it does wow..... Quote Link to post
borderboy 80
read up on it in sporting shooter, it can only legally be used on empty tunnel systems, so they are going to need the warrens emptying before they use it. Quote Link to post
Guest little_lloyd
That verminator thingy moby looks good and effective but expensive as fook Cant remember but i seen it in a mag a few weeks back, ahh thats it 'sporting shooter' Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
Good and effective, not from our point of view Quote Link to post
Guest little_lloyd
Why what went wrong en?? Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
Im assuming its this thing that collapses warrens, or something along those lines? Just not exactly preserving our sport, with things like this being invented and technology moves on and they get cheaper, what would be the point in gettign people to come and ferret or shoot? when you can do it all in one. Not sure, just my perspective Oh and woodchip, any chance of a link? Just I have had a search and cant find it, would be interesting to see what they can do. borderboy 80
This piece of equipment has no place in propper vermin control Quote Link to post
Guest little_lloyd
I think the rat one is a good idea But for rabbits Quote Link to post
Ricky-N.p.p 0
I think the rat one is a good idea But for rabbits And whats the differnce between the two if we are looking at it as a purely pest control method ?? Quote Link to post
Guest JDF
i wouldn't worry too much, the rabbits will simply make new burrows.remember a few years back pumping the holes full of slurry was supposed to be the big threat to our sport, whatever became of that idea. Quote Link to post
Guest little_lloyd
For pure pest controll its probbally good, but what im saying is that we can do with ferrets which is FREE and better Quote Link to post
