IVE HAD A ANTY BARK COLLER ON ONE MY TERRIERS, IVE DUG HIM FOR 2 SEASONS, GREAT LITTLE MIXER BAYER HE STARTED TO BE A BIT OF A PEST THIS SUMER SO I PUT THE ANTY BARK COLLER ON HIM, PROBLEM SOLVED. IVE DUG TO HIM TWICE THIS SEASON BOTH TIMES MUTE. ANYONE ELS COME ACROSS THIS. THE BARK COLLER IS NOW IN THE BIN.

what you mean by anti bark collar? loads a diffrent ones on market

could be he associates the collar with the punishment thats why some companies sell dummy collars that you can put on a dog to deter them from barking without batteries etc in them. so when you put the locator collar on he thinks its the bark collar still.

My mate got one and that's the first thing that came into my head, the dog may stop barking !!! Well his didn't.

Can't see it being the collar Alli, maybe it was the lay off through the summer that did it, just wait till he comes up against the right one and he'll be back barking before you know it.

only used 1 once and it sent the dog mental. every time he got a bolt he d try and bite owt in sight lol

nurture cant beat nature... so id say it was hopefully the lay off alli did it too him... it wouldnt matter if the collar has been on him or not his natural instinct should be to at least voice the quarry on finding it if he has done this many times before them maybe be mute.... but if this was your first dig to him this season maybe he just wanted to let out a little bit of pent up anger lol..... watever happens all the best way him mate ....

I've used it on one terrier, but she was always mute anyway to ground But it did stop her barking in the kennel.

 

Never use it on nervy or thick dogs: it freaks them out and is very cruel indeed as if they are thick they can't figure it out, and if they're nervy they'll just carry on screaming leading to a vicious circle of yelp-shock-yelp-shock. I remember there was a stupid woman on here who said she left a shock collar on her Whippet ( I think it was) and left the poor dog screaming for an hour :censored: Some people shouldn't own dogs, let alone shock collars If it doesn't work first time it won't work after an hour!

did tyhe opposite with my dog, he barked more till he emptied the citronella............. he still bays untill were a few inches off him then he goes in (and usually takes stick)

not being funny but what do you exspect, its not the dogs fault, she thinks when ever she yaps shes going to get a shock. let it be a lesson learnt , atb and i hope you have a good season
