Malt 379
Bollocks to it, I am! Kids are getting exited, even the middle two who blew the Santa Claus myth out the water just before last Christmas don't know what they're getting with 100% certainty. They've told us what they want, but we've been giving them the old 'Well, they're very popular items so don't get your hopes up..' bollocks so they're nervously waiting. The three year old is just getting old enough to understand that Christmas is something to look forward to, and the eldest don't give a shit! The wife is getting exited because she's only got three days left in work as a school cook, although she's terrified at the prospect of cooking Christmas dinner for 60 tomorrow! Ossie n Arch 1,682
I'm on call on Christmas day so it'll just be a normal day for us. Boxing day will be our Christmas day. I don't think Christmas is that special nowadays. When i was small it was the time when you got your new bike or big game. I can remember putting "stars" next to things id like in me Mums Littlewoods catalogue. Nowadays the internet does it for you. Instant shopping, no having to wait till Christmas or Birthday. I do like cooking Christmas dinner, that's probably the best bit for me, but we are a bit short on family now, so it's just the four of us every year.

Its really as simple as unscrewing 8 screws (4 for the laptop lid which are usually hidden under the lids rubber plugs/legs and 4 for the screen itself) and unplugging the old screen and then putting the new one in and putting it back together again. You might have to prize the front and back of the laptops lid apart gently to get to the insides of the screen. What's the make and model of your laptop mate? cheers Callum

mangy1983 51
Never replaced a screen on an HP laptop before but replacement screens can be bough off eBay for around £60. http://www.ebay.co.u...-All-Categories and this video will be of help with replacing the screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nALcYwgVCZk Bit more to it than the laptops l fixed before but you'd have nothing to lose by giving it a go anyway! cheers Callum Edited December 18, 2011 by mangy1983
