FERRETBOY 680
the first pics are from when we last went lamping,it was last tuesday and eventhough the weather wasnt any good we wanted to try out our new lamping setup.we wasnt expecting to stay out long but things never go to plan as we didnt get back in till 3.30. we had about seven or eight runs and bramble nailed four of them.she retrieved three of them pretty good and we were chuffed.anyway we had some ok footage so shall get that up soon and the lurcher done the buisness.all in all a good way to finnish of lamping for a few months. the next pics are from today at selby i had a great day at selby on sunday, the weather was perfect ,i saw some cracking lurchers,i met "the lamper"and had a good chat with him, spoke with some other net makers and to top it off bramble got 3rd place in the rough bitch over 23inch :thumbs-up: . good hunting rew Edited April 8, 2007 by REW Quote Link to post

FERRETBOY 680
good idea fixing the lamp but it must jump a bit if the chase gets exiting , the handle as been routed out so the wire can sit flush with the handle and the switch as been housed into the wood aswell then the whole thing is covered with electrical tape so all you can see is the switch.the switch is of an old lamp shade.we have fixed the two peices of wood together using a nut and bolt as you can see in the pic below.the wood we have used for the handle and cross peice is 34mm x 34mm planed timber with the corners rounded . <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> make sure the wood you fix the camera to is big enough for the camera and your hand. we then drilled a hole in that piece of wood just big enough for the bolt, then put on a few washes onto the bolt then place into hole ready to fix to the underneath of the camera were there is a thread for a bolt.make sure the bolt can screw into the thread tightly. <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> we taped the rest of the wood were we attached the two pieces of wood together to make it more secure then connected the wires to the battery using proper electrical connections. <!--ImageUrlBegin--><!--ImageUrlEBegin--><!--ImageUrlEnd--><!--ImageUrlEEnd--> we now use the two lamps together when lamping and it is alot better for getting footage i use the one with the camera attached to it and my dad uses the lazerlite. the camera doesnt seem to go out of focus well not yet anyway.if we need to dazzle the rabbits by shaking the lamp my dad does it with the lazerlite. good hunting rew good hunting Edited July 15, 2007 by REW Quote Link to post
