Argyll 1
I've seen at least 6 different foxes on my permission that I hunt with my air rifle. They are decimating the rabbit population and I want to get rid of them asap. I don't have an FAC so I can't shoot them. I'm sure you get asked this all the time but what's the best and least expensive way to get rid of them? I realise "best" and "least expensive" are words that sometimes don't come hand in hand. Thank you in advance for any replies. Quote Link to post

There is plenty of folk on here that would help I'm sure,me included if it's reasonably close Atb 233 Quote Link to post

bullmastiff 615
Snaring Foxes is a bit of an art, the height your setting your snares and the type you'd use, can, if not set correctly catch unintentional species. Forking out for a trap isn't worth it unless your using it regularly. Both would be good to learn, you never know, maybe someone on here lives local and is willing to teach you? Might be worth stating where you are in the country? Probably quickest to post in the Firearms section and state where your from/area the permissions in and the problem your having. I'm sure someone will live fairly local and more than happy to help you out. Quote Link to post

Thank you in advance for any replies. A sharp drop in bunny numbers would suggest an outbreak of myxie - if you can't lamp the foxes, I would suggest getting a good fox trap. Which is very handy to have anyways. 1 Quote Link to post
