Argyll 1
Where do you guys buy your antibiotics and needles etc? My dad used to inject his own dogs years ago when he had the greyhounds but he's been out the game for a few years now and has lost touch with his contacts. I'm fecked if I'll pay vets prices for purely routine things like this. My dog got bitten by a fox the other night and the vet charged me a fortune for an antibiotic injection for her. Argyll 1
I never slipped my dog and nowhere in my original post did I say that! Actually my dog got hold of a fox in my back garden if you must know. I’ve never seen a fox as close to my houses before so I was a bit surprised and never expected it there. My vet stays a few doors along from me so I know him reasonably well and everything is cushty however although he’s very good he’s expensive. I think he’s one of these guys that charges you depending what size of house you live in and what car you drive lol. My dad was a top greyhound trainer in Scotland for thirty years, running dogs all over the UK and ROI. I was brought up with running dogs since I was born but I veered more towards the coursing side of things but I haven’t had a lurcher for the last 8 years since my last one died of ovarian cancer until of course 3 months ago when I decided to get another one. I would have liked to have kept this to myself as I didn’t want to come across as a bit of a know it all and eased myself in to the forum but you find smart arses in all walks of life I suppose. So please don’t try to preach to me about not being able to treat dogs because you don’t me or what experience I have. My question was where can I buy the usual AB’s but obviously some smart arse has tried to be funny before knowing the full facts. I now understand it’s not to be discussed on an open forum which I understand. I’ve received a few pm’s so thanks to the guys that took the time to pm me. However I’ve managed to get back in touch with a few of my old contacts so I’m sorted now but thanks all the same.
