new tyres for hilux

i am needing to replace the front 2 tyres on my hilux does anyone recomend a good tyre for winter as the ones i had before were rubbish in the snow (bridgestone dueller).....cheers

a reasonable priced tyres i use are general grabber(named after my wife) AT2 .quiet on road and good in snow.

What he said. My old man has them on his paj and theyre good for an a/t tyre

i have a spare set of general grabber m/t,s but i think they are a bit extreme to be driving about the roads with them and i got told i can forget about going long distances in them,,so that put me off fitting them ....anyone driving about on general grabber m/t,s what are they like for road driving ,,cheers

Iv got cooper stt mud terrains and theyre fine on the road.

true mate,a farmer mate has got these on a 110 lady as swears by them,very quiet too.but bloody expensive.

Yeah they are great on the road compared to other mud tyres iv had. And yeah the price is the downside, but they are a quality tyre.

 

I think i got mine from John Craddock landrover supplies. Just happened to be looking on their website and they had some at a good price in the size i wanted so I ordered them there and then. But that was after about 3 evenings of trawling the net looking for tyres.

blackcircles.com, i've used them for the last two sets, always cheapest and they always get stock

They deliver to the nearest tyre shop to you and they fit them, and try Avon rangers, good on the road, good in the snow and about a thousand times better than the Bridgestones, and I get around 50k miles per set !!

..........the bridgestones ain,t great ,,i have had a couple of close ones due to them and when i checked tyre reviews i saw that i was not the only person ,,,,avon rangers seem to be well priced but they do not have them neither do all the other companys i checked ,,,,time of year i suppose .....cheers
