I know of a tiny bitch, 10 ", only used on rabbits and looking at the size and build good job,a good fox would make a real mess

why ? not all small terriers get mauled -- 30 - 40 yr ago thats all that was around i`ve had many a small russell and seen small nuttal under 12 inch that have done the job without its quarry making a mess of it ... Edited by the_stig

Very interesting thread I know many years ago some lads here in Middlesbrough who new nuttall and had dogs from him were buying litters of black uns and selling them back to him at least this is what they told me when they bought my litter, may be they were just t lying but what would the point of that be.

a lot of talk about buying and selling litters is bollox not saying it did`nt happen but the likes of gould nuttal middleton had dogs and bitchs out on loan sold or given away with deals attached -- say a bitch came to me for free from gm the deal attached was gm had the choice of pup if he came and i had 7 pups he had 7 buyers he`d buy the whole litter ....

well i had a dog off brian last year as he is only a mile up the road from me, seen mother, father, grandmother all no bigger than 12 inch, mine got to big for earth work really i would say he is the higher end of 16inch, with a chest like a mastiffs! on hind sight i think the dog had caught the bull that he has in his yard! hense the size of mine. very strong dog! our road no longer has cats! and i no longer have fresh eggs!

Didnt get caught by the bull in the yard cos its a bitch

sorry mate i mean he was of that straight off that bull! she was a real nice dog, nearly knocked my little lad over greeting him, he said he,s got her for security but he must use her in his breeding , my pup was six weeks when i took him and his mum had no sign of a nipple, but the bulls nipples looked like she had not long had a litter? im not slaggin brian off, he,s a nice chap! and his dogs are smart , he was sayin to me ,dont give him to much protein cos u dont want him growin to big, any way hes a big bugger now!
