Richie10 345
They eat the bear after, so what does it taste like? Thanks Quote Link to post
Canadian Black Bears 23
can you use catch dogs? No dogs allowed. Bait sites are used, as without the help of dogs or any other species to assist with tracking, your chances of winning the lottery would be better than getting near a Black Bear. I am sure almost everyone has baited their big game, such as deer, in 1 way or another. Quote Link to post

Canadian Black Bears 23
They eat the bear after, so what does it taste like? Thanks Bear meat is awsome if prepared properly. The bear has to be capped as soon as possible and all the fat has to be trimmed off. As with any game, it is all in the prepartion. I have had people tell me they would never eat bear meat based on what they eat as they are basically garbage eaters but once I have given them a piece they never turn back. It is, in my opinion, the best game for eating. Quote Link to post

So ye think following a dog around and lettin them do all the work while you chew on your tobacco is not the same. I used to have a German Short Hair who did all the work for me when I hunted pheasant, sure seems like the same thing except a Black Bear is a lot bigger so you better hit him in the kill zone...LOL Quote Link to post

miller 18
Nice to see someone who loves their hunting like you Canadian Black Bears do mate. Don't take any notice of the bad reviews on here from tossers, they are just not interested in any other form of hunting than that they do in their own back yard Edited December 12, 2011 by miller Quote Link to post

Let me tell ya, when you see 1 or 2 or 3 bruins so close it really gets the ole blood boilin, I can guarantee you that you would never be able to stalk a black bear and get within shooting range. Believe me, it is just as exciting to take pictures as it is to shoot it. I had 10 plus bears hitting my bait sites this year and it was pretty awesome to sit and watch them, especially the cubs. Check out my web site, they are great animals. Quote Link to post

What is it with you lads and your hatred towards money people..........if they've got it let them do what they want with it. If you won the lottery tomorrow you'd spend it how you liked....wouldn't you?... Quote Link to post
kenny14 656
Let's be honest, how different is it from baiting a site for a Fox? Or putting out mineral licks/paste etc near a high seat for Deer? Or even putting out decoys for Ducks, Geese or Pigeons, then sitting in a hide? Some people really are short sighted in their views on other hunters sport. I for one look forward to reading about some of the trips 2 Quote Link to post
