Corkman 944
Fine animal. As old timer said he is nothing like Nuttalls breeding today. I saw his current breeding stock during the summer and i was shocked at there puny size. Then I saw the wallet come out and money changing hands and that said it all for me. Breeding for money and sending a lot to the U.S. market so I hear? It is sad day when working dogs are being bred for money. That is when the working ability starts to go down hill............... 2 Quote Link to post
hedz31 1,308
Is there a recent splash of bull blood in that dog ?? maybe a gen or 3 back ?? what dogs on the nuttall side and gould side does it come from ? 1 Quote Link to post

Mosby 355
Good looking dog uru. I hear alot about nuttal and how the quality of his dogs has gone down. But I've also heard that the working ability is still coming from his yard. People speak in a disappointed tone about the man but I ain't seeing many other types of patterdale than gould and nuttal being shown off. America has alot of different types of hunting and if nuttal can produce the right type for an area... power to him. Tiny dogs aren't the common out here though. Uru's looks the type enough! Good luck with him. Quote Link to post

THE DEALER! 77
Mosby Thank you,i dont fully understand the new & old nuttall myself, and personally get confused by it.Im guessing pre-Miner is the old stuff. But ive got some heavy Miner bred dogs that have shown lots of grit and nose,so thats why im confused. I'll try to put up a pic of one if I can Uru your a bit more than confused if you think theres no recent bull in that dog, old gould and nuttall my arse. Quote Link to post
