paulk73 151
recently purchased a used hw 100 .22, and finally managed some time off work, to give it a run out. me and a mate went out this morn looking for squizzers around a private house and grounds that we have permission on. i managed a squirrel from there. my mate also got a squirrel, that fell into the broken tree trunk where a branch had broken off. this caused a bit of confusion for a while.lol we then had a trip to a near by farm, to see if we could see any day time rabbits. we entered the first field, and followed the hedgeline round the first bend, to see a rabbit sat 10 yards away from the cover of the hedge, and about 20 meters away from me squatting tight. i took this with a standing shot. we then moved on to the next field, where a rabbit was sat way out into the field feeding. my mate decided to stalk closer to the rabbit before taking a shot. he got within his range. pulled the legs down on the bipod, and took a great long range shot. the rabbit took a couple of strides before realising it had a nice accupel sized parting that it didnt used to have. on picking up the rabbit, we noticed, it was in a quite advanced state of myxi. was a bit gutting really because this farm has produced well this year. paulk73 151
tbh i been working 7 days a week for months, but had him out for a look round the allotments yesterday, because ive finished with the week ends now til the end of jan. we had a mooch but didnt see a thing. the chicken sheds are all going. they burned one down in the summer, all the tin roofing sheets where on the floor, still fastened together. eli marked the sheets so i peeped under, just to see a rat dive down a hole. so i dismantled the roof. and dug the complete soil base up. me and eli ended up with 21 rats that afternoon. not bad for 1 man and his dog.
