deadlyshot 25
hi all just ive got a 13month terrier and i use her for bushing and take her ferreting with me.she dont go hunting with other dogs that often but today she caught a rabbit but she dont kill them properly she just munches the body then leaves it also she dont seem very game like she still pisses about the bushes [bANNED TEXT] she knows there something there she stands there listens then runs round the bush then when she does finally goes in then out comes the rabbit the other side im thinking to myself you were that side of the bush a minute ago why did you not just go in there also if she is in the bush and a rabbit is there she growls at it then waits for it to move before chasing it then what happens after that is the rabbit runs in another bush then my dog stopped at the entrance were the rabbit went in as is the rabbit shut the door behind it is there anything i can do to sort this behaviour out
LolaPat 49
Personally, you'b be better off getting a pup from working stock and starting from scratch and teaching it, trying to teach a terrier something at sort of age is like pissing in the wind. LolaPat 49
What kind of stock did it come from? If I was to use a terrier for bushing I would have something like a airdale or a good border. Tbh you need a spaniel

Although I'm guessing it isn't that.
