B.P.R 2,798
That reply is exactly what makes new dogmen and women not want to ask questions to things they don't know. Your on here putting people down and constantly putting their dogs down. Times change whin. You need to move with the times. Was you born knowing everything? 'go out an learn yourself' I bet you will say. I'm out as much as I can. Technology allows information to be passed much easier nowadays so you can learn by asking them that might now more than you. Do me a Favour and don't reply to any of my posts. I cant be fcuked talking to you. Edited December 10, 2011 by Veedublee 1 Quote Link to post
iworkwhippets 12,839
dogs got abit of time , but your better getting them out early ,as they develop quicker and no what what , never had whippet so dont no there capabilities cmpared to apurpose bred lurcher , just leash her up and let her see As you say . you have never owned shivery rag dogs, so why post negative comments on em, Vedublee, no your dog isnt to old, far from it, and good luck to ya Quote Link to post

Bruce was an 8 week old pup when he was got from the pound, Vee, we ALL have different ways of looking at our dogs; you don't seem, or want,to have a world beater, just a ferreting/mooching companion, so good luck to you Give it the care and rest it needs, and and hopefully it will be OK. 12 months is not to old to start a dog, remember you will have it for the rest of it's life !! Good luck to you and your dog !! Cheers. Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,328
Had a dog chip a bone in his hind leg early last winter in his 1st proper season..he had seen a little work to be fair so knew "a bit" of what the game was about but i just left him be for the remainder of the whole season..i could of ran him in Jan/Feb but thought i'd give him time and just left him to mooch about and do a bit of ferreting and such but no vigorous training or lamping sessions,i treat him in a porta-mag all the while and this season he has had some serious graft and everything has been fine with him...you have plenty of time mate..next Sept on a few early season bunnies and i'm sure if your patient then you'll see it was worth it? Personally i don't start my dogs away until they are atleast 12 months old and generally 13 or 14 months is the norm, there is hardly a bunny within walking distance of me so they rarely even see a rabbit but when i start to travel with them and get them amongst some gear they work as well as the next mans..well probably not Whin's lol. Hope all works out well with the young un. ATB Andy. Quote Link to post
