Saluki Bull Grey

Thinking of getting a new dog soon Just contenplating what cross. My last dog was a 1st X Bull grey.

Great dog couldn't fault him but sadly early this year he passed at a very young age of 2 1/2 he was my 1st working dog and ever since iv'e took a break because it broke me but now i'm ready & in for a new dog been looking last month or so & the X whats took my eye is the Saluki Bull Grey saw a few run & heard alot about the seem very handy dogs

Whats your opinions.

A pal of mine has got 1 of those just started working him & he does look a handy dog very good on the lamp

it just dies down 2 what your prefernece is ,i like rough coated lurchers but also like a bit bit bull in the mix,seen lots of crooses work and i can honestly say that a lurcher based dog is the right line 2 go down

i no alot of lads who don't like any bull in there dogs but like u say its what you prefer every ones different

iv'e always wanted a pure bred saluki for some reason since iv'e bin a small lad but iv'e heard they can be hit or miss

i just prefer lurcher 2 lurcher breeding with a few crosses in the mix ,rather then any street bull x 2 any trackgreyhound if you get were i,m coming from ,atb with your search

iv had 2 in the past and both were very quick and would run all night and also caught 95% of the time you should have some good nights out

Got a pup there 2 run on for next season. 5/8 greyhound 1/4 saluki 1/8 collie. I my stand corrected but am sure if john see's the post he will correct it.

its the look of the draw when breeding from non tested dogs

Some of the best catch dogs I've owned/seen run have been sal/bull/grey all with 1/4 saluki or less in the mix just for a little more power/drive, but the breeding behind them has been from well tested lines right through and this is the most important thing, you can't just throw a cross together and expect to get top class dogs as I'm sure you know, so do you research and wait for the right litter to come along would be my advice.
