Guest The Shaman
I'm going to a Barbie on Sunday with a bunch of mates and our families, it will be very loud and plenty of drink and the usual steaks, burgers and bangers. Now all my mates know I go shooting and want me to bring rabbit and pheasant (rabbits I will take fresh, the pheasant shot on permission last season and frozen ). I've had rabbits/pheasants done in casseroles and fried but wondered if anybody had barbied them. I'm sure a fair few of you lads/lasses will have had your fair share of game barbies so any tips would be appreciated. Just a pity I don't have any venison to go with it
Simoman 110
I'm sure a skewer of rabbit, peppers, pheasant and onion would go down a treat
badoosh 1
dice up your meat, get some cajun seasoning or barbecue powder from the butcher throw it in a freezer bag the night before and let it marinade all night put on BBQ the taste will even win over the squeemishiest watership down lover

OldTrapCollector 377
Small pieces of pigeon breast on skewers with large mushrooms, tomatoes, onion and green peppers are also very nice - just brush with oil and get them on! Muntjac mini-steaks have to be the finest BBQ food though, my mouth is watering just thinking about them OTC
