The money markets are what the French want , London is the hub of the financial world although the Germans like to think it they do not rule the financial markets , the euro is being backed by the chinese why because without the eu they have no market to sell there shite too , but all the tea in china won't take the stock exchange out of London the Arabs are to well intrenched the 17 country's involved in the euro are all capable of default don't think it was a case of sac dozy. Ignoring Cameron just think his mind is some were else wondering were the next loan is going to come from , hope every one has not thrown there francs, and marks away you never know when you might just need them again ant punts under the bed might just come in handy

 It's no wonder they're pushing for an EU wide financial transaction tax when 80% of all financial transactions in the EU take place in London...

Anyone else thinking these pro euro people have let this crisis drag on and get worse as slit of europeans were starting to hate the eu ie the treaties that were rejected at the ballot now there trying to get everyone scared to get them through a different way?

Couldn't agree more....one thing is for sure democracy in those 17 countries is fading away.

I don't think Cameron has won anything listen to Nigel Farage here. Now he has no bargaining chips left. No chance to repatriate powers left.

I think Camerons decision was right, but also unavoidable. The only things he had to worry about was a backlash from the coalition partners but then again, even they have more sense than to shout too loudly given current public opinion over Europe and the Euro.

The transaction tax that will be put in place would have hit the UK really hard, as most transactions pass through London and I suspect that a lot of the 17's MEPs would have expected Camerons decision.

After all, why should the UK bail out countries who signed up to a currency that the UK didn't agree with and didn't join?

Let Germany shoulder a good share of it, seeing as the rest of Europe really paid for reunification and the other countries that benefited from the situation.

Its a con,he went to europe with the sole intention of doing what he did,to appease his euro sceptics on the back bench, and to make us think he is all for the uk and more importantly us.the fact is he agrees with everything the germans have proposed.i dont trust him or his party.wants to wield some clout on the eu stage,he should have took a step furthyer and told them we wanted out of it completely, however he does not want that.he wants to be part of this european state.
