A number of times this season we have had a ferret down to ground, and actually heard the squealing of a rabbit being killed, but its been out of reach. With the locator, it's been a case of lifting a foot of soil and pulling it out, a 5 min job. Rather than an hour wait. Quote Link to post

What happens in the wild when a polecat kills a rabbit? I do get what your saying though, no need to up the tone Jamie. People have different views and I've seen on this post the benefits of a locator so mines off to get fixed. Doesn't mean I won't go without one again. I'm going for a bit tomorrow without, and will do until mine comes Back. What happened in days gone by when I wasn't even on this planet? Locators, collars weren't even around?
