toby you clown there still blue brown here on the moors loaly south of edinburgh , inverness is agood 3 hours drive fro edinburgh area , shows you what you no of scotland some year they dont go white or blue grey al depends weather same with stoats , theyll be white shortly if we keep getting hard frosts

im not the one thta thinks inverness is scotland osme yesr they hardly go pure white ,live 25 mins and montain hare country , there starting to turn but some still abit patchy at moment give them till after chrissy and there will be real white ,even in the south of scotland ,toby i liked that i was on the phone fech i travel sometimes thre times aweeek through moors you see roadkills thats how i no what colour they are south of the capital

Talking of roadkills Whin,i was travelling through the Cairngorms en route to Inverness back in April and in just over one mile i passed 23 dead "white hares"...couldn't believe my eyes lol,absolute heaven on earth up that way?...ATB Andy. ;)

ye but here not much of a challege at times but plenty to go at , we have a big populaition in some parts and some let you walk out after the grouse to have a look ,when we have a bad winter pre ban they came from the hills to the arable and if they got a quick thaw they got caut out ,a big white rabbit on a plough or wheat feild etc ye ive traveld scotland nets dogs allsorts , got keepers i barter with pre ban they turend a blind eye if it was on your todd or one other ,after grouse was finished ,its afunny site traveling twenty milesof moor and seeing grouse hares odd stoat and no buzzards a god send etc no vermin but plenty of game

thanks poacher ;) your 90% correct,but it was a rough dog (the bandit) that did 17 in roughly 2 hours.as i will say AGAIN it was no big deal,they really can be that easy especially when they have been sitting out in the pissing rain for days :tongue2: cheers again poacher :victory:
