What .22 air rifle to get?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Depends on how much you have to spend, for £740 HW100kt or £400 BSA ultra m/s tactical approx. But remember the HW100kt has a walnut stock, 2 mags ,silencer as standard and the best cocking system. Both are pcp.

Break barrel

HW95

Yes very nice but no more accurate than the other pcps already mentioned in the average shooters hands.

There is a big difference for most between a £300 S S Ultra and a £1200 Daystate.

Beagrie7 due to your knowledge of air guns being limited buddy it suggests to me your pretty new to the sport. For this reason I would try the various rifles already mentioned above to see which one you like.

If you want a rifle with a average shot count, great accuracy and of a fair price I don't think you will be able to beat a Air Arms S410 K.

Yes its also a good rifle Mole but for me the AA S410 is my favourite of the 2.

I have now sold mine too and my r10 to a man that saw and bought my DVDs on YouTube.

I didnt ever think that i would sell the r10 but he insisted he wanted a Tench tuned and shortened r10 with a Twink and he loved the look of mine and made me a offer for the r10 for himself and my BSA SE for his son that I couldnt turn down.

Basically i got my money back less £100 for the tune which at Xmas is nice when your have a money grabbing ex wife.

The deal was all private and not done with anyone on this forum. I did the deal face 2 face too and the bloke paid on exchange of the goods.

If i have any left after Xmas it will go towards a new .22 ProSport.

Without hesitation, I'd go for A HW95K - independance of a very high quality break barrel springer, and if you can shoot springers well, very very accurate.

I culled truck fulls of bunnies with the one I had. Truth be told, my bag didnt really increase after I changed to HW100S.

personally i'd choose a HW80 over a '95, its a bit bigger and heavier so i find it stays on aim better(well for me it did) and the recoils a little less harsh. i found an old but deadly accurate one for about £150 and thought it was worth every penny.

cheers, wurz
