Australian hoop nets?

Recommended Posts

you could make them with fencing wire and have like big u nails to fix them to ground made of fencing wire to about 4inch long the pegs

easy to make or just use an old fishing keep net  you can make hoops as win says out of fence straining wire if you cover the hoop with chicken wire and hinge them there good for stopping rabbits bolting hole to hole, use to do it when i was flying bop years ago,

How do you attach the two ends of the fence wire? And what do you use for the net?

the one we had out for a day that junior brought out, had a split in the wire mate, an a wee placcy end peice on each end, they slotted together to make the hoop, if that makes sense, im sure junior could sort a pic out, if he could be arsed :whistling::yes:

imagine a small basket ball net, rim an all, placed over a hole, with a peg on the rim to push into soil, rim is made of wire, whole rim about size as dinner plate, but unlike basketball net, the bottom of the net is tied :D:victory:

yep i get it now cheers for that  i can see why the ozys use them ,,,like the bolt tunels,, they can drive up to each warren in the truck so no probs carrying gear,,,

i should imagine, with all the hoops next to each other an the nets thrown into each other, be no more cumbersome than purse nets, but they only realy good for a straight forward hole imo, so a purse net is a better option :victory:

its like there lamps i got one of them copy 170`s the lead you could plug in the truck then with the amount of cord on it you could walk half the outback without the need for a battery pack
