Hi Tayto- there are two groups of chickens- soft feather like rhode island reds and sussex and hard feather like old english game and asil.They have very little fluff and the feathers themselves are very dry and hard. In the hard feather you get some that are harder in feather than others, these are generally Asian game like young Tuzo me lad keeps-some of them are extremely hard feather and its almost impossible to keep them in good feather- and due to the lack of fluff they show bare red skin on some parts of the body like the breast and wing butts- some weirdos like me and Tuzo love them-others think they are bloody ugly
