there a nice cross, but it would be hard to find a good f1 saluki ghound,i would sooner use a well bred well tested coursing dog, there a few of them about......

they make decent lamp dogs.im only into edible game really and my saluki bull grey does that very well. very true in what you say with hit and miss on charlie as sometimes mine gives 100% on them and

that dog is a topper...

I like them and i like the idea of them ,i just fecking hate salukis with a passion i would be frightend i would get 1 and i would tap it if it showed to many saluki traits  but i think i will overcome this dislike 1 day and i will own 1 :thumbs:

if you use a line bred coursing dog the saluki is so far back its hardly worth talking about.but like you i am not a saluki fan.

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
