On rare occasions, a ferret will have blue eyes (usually a blaze ferret). The red eyes of the albino are not really red; they are actually clear and have no pigment at all, so the red color you see is blood circulating. Similarly, the burgundy or cranberry-colored eyes of the dark-eyed white only have some pigment, so you see a combination of brown coloring and red circulating blood. 1 Quote Link to post
