Kye 77
FR, I think that yote is the first critter they have killed when you HAVENT been there for about six months mate,...now that your my 'Driver', you would have been proud of my driving skills!... The land is VERY much the same as back home,..BUT,...the fields are bigger...loads of barb-wire fences, small county roads, hedges etc,...i do miss the WIDE open places of the West...We have the state of Kansas right next door, and my mate who bred my dogs knows guys that take upto 50 (FIFTY!!!) yotes in a weekend..of course that 'aint normal,...i would be happy with 3!..lol. Loads of snakes out here as well...i will try and post a pic of one i caught in the yard the other day. I have caught Garter snakes, Bull snakes, Great Plains rat snakes,...one night, when me, FR and the wife as out, we ran a coon up a tree with the dogs, just before dark, and FR's well placed shot with his Air rifle brought it down for the dogs...on the way back to the truck, there was a baby 4" copperhead on the road...thats the only poisonous (spl?) i have SEEN, but we do have Pygmy, and Timber rattlers, as well as Cottonmouths (WaterMoccasins) and CopperHeads...we also have the Brown Recluse Spider. Kye 77
Just to let you know guys, thats a Black snake, and a species of Orb spider.. I would love to see what a line bred, english Bull X would do on a coyote...the trouble would be getting one that had the stamina, speed, and still had the grit...ive seen dogs tough enough to KILL yotes back home (of course!) but to catch one, and stand upto the terrian?.. Kye,.. Quote Link to post
