HAMMERDAN 25
3/4 Whippet 1/4 Beddy is more than capable for bunnys.. in small paddock fields etc, there like shit off a stick.. seen some really good beddy whips, Personally i like the beddy/whip x grey.. just adds that little extra height and bottle for bigger stuff, and also gives them more wind.. ATB with your decision mate. HD Quote Link to post
trigger2 3,145
yes they can, and to which is the better is down to personal preference. ive caught alot of quarry both on and off the lamp with first Xs single handed and doubled up. Quote Link to post
scottyboyish 14
I've got a lightly built 1st x bitch and a strongly built 1/2 Whip, 1/4 Grey, 1/4 Beddy bitch, they are pretty well matched. My 1st x has more stamina, but I'd go for a 3/4 Whippet x , they tend to be less head strong than the 1st x. Quote Link to post

NEWKID 27,163
Bitch on the right 3/4 1/4 whip beddy, bitch on the left 1st x, turning into decent rabbit dogs, will catch on the run and hit cover. They suit the smaller paddock type fields I run down here, the 3/4 is quicker runs the beam well but I'm struggling with her retrieve will retrieve dummys every time but is hit and miss with live rabbits , the first cross has more drive and will stop at nothing, we also run some big crop fields and they catch there ( the 3/4 suits this land more). Not everyones cup of tea but for lamping rabbits and ferreting there useful enough. The 3/4 litter brother has made 22" and is doing well hopefully in the new year he'll come down for a run with his sister. 1 Quote Link to post

patterdalejoel 669
when talking about lamp, do you mean things with teeth? and does dog over bitch which may matter? as in which breed as dam or sire etc. Quote Link to post

She's very head strong you need to be on top of her more so than th 3/4 who is a placid type of dog. Quote Link to post
