boropiker 2
Hi. .I hav'nt been for some time but fished a few match's on the lakes when it was just the 2 and since it as all changed to what it is today....Kevin was the owner and i think he still his good bloke big fish breeder for stock fish.....Any way get back to the topic ..You will be i guess just pleasuring and looking to get a big double. My self at this time off year with temps dropping all the time and hard frosts just turning up regular..If the temps have been steady for a few days, the way i would go myself would be no heavy groundbaiting and no cattying loads of pellets out.. I take it you will be ledgering with two rods..1 rod i use a method feeder the smallest i could get away with that i could reach a island my mix would be low oil micro pellets with a few dead red maggots my hook bait would be a hard 8mm feed pellet and change over every now and again to a bunch of dead red maggots a 14 hook....The other rod i would search around a bit with it see if you can locate a tight carp shoal look for sign 's ,if it his a tip rod look for linner's where fish movment his i would just have a nice lead bomb, a weight you can reach to anywhere needed baited with single or double hair rigged corn, If you find a ball of carp you could end up with a good day but dont be striking at linners as you will spoke the fish ,just wait for good bites their will hook them selves...Its a waiting game in the winter at most fisherys..You could have a rod on the waggler float again cast about look for signs ,bait 1 area lightly with a few peices of corn only and fish that area with the waggler ,waiting and patience ,his the main thing in winter. And you could ask what pegs have been getting the main match weights of then you no you are in the winter pegs as they are knowing to match anglers...I could go on pages of diffrent baits and methods, but just make it as plain and simple as you can...Kevin will tell you whats going on as most owners want every angler to have good days...Any thing else i can help with just ask...cheers good fishing..
