Guest dwain dibley
recently i have found little bug like things in my tank lid and just above the water mark, as much as i clean them off they reappear, does anyone know what they are and what i can do to rid them? the best i can describe them is they are like a smaller corn fly with two antennae. thanks

gnasher16 30,537
Its probably some kind of gnat or fruitfly.....is there any kind of tiny larvae looking shit on the bottom of the tank....sometimes they will start off as larvae then make there way up during the night.....are they dead when you find them ?....also take your lid right off and give it a proper clean, often theres bits of food in the lid from where you sling it in....depending what fish you have you could try removing the lid for a few days and seeing what occurs.
