Cold Ethyl 63
We dont use anything that clouds the water i use trigene licensed for animals cos it kills everything Most rescues use the same cos of what it can do.Our vets seen cases as have we tbh in ferrets and one of their vets is a specialist in reptiles parrots and ferrets most cat meds work for ferrets so we were told and its kitten jabs they give to ferrets if you vaccinate.Cynical maybe your right but i vaccinate to be as sure as i can be i dont have these problems ever.Just cos theres very few outbreaks doesnt mean it cant or wont happen rabies was eradicted from britain after controls were tightened maybe forcing people to vaccinate would stop this stuff happening.Ive seen 4 dogs this week out and about with clear cut doses of kennel cough :s if my dogs are ill i dont take them out cos they can spread it to other dogs and for everyone elses benefit.Same as the women whos dog collapased at an event we took it in the pet ambulance to the vets and it was parvo smelled it instantly dog had been ill the day before but she still took her dog to a place were hundreds of other dogs where going to be 2 danes died as well because of her complete stupidity.we see it all the time someone actually called me the other night and was told swiftly to get a grip. She wanted me to take her dog cos its not well and she cant afford to treat it and it had bitten her and could she swap it for one of the dogs i have rescued here lol.She described what was wrong and i said its a simple case of Kc by sounds of it get a babies cough bottle and keep it in for at least 10 days her answer but he likes going to the park I did try to explain it to her and how she was risking every other dog in the area and if a dogs really young or old or already ill it could die from it and she said but he will be unhappy FFS gave up trying to be blunt some people will never learn.I vaccinate with duramine 8 in 1 its a few pounds dearer but far worth it cos its covers quite a few extra things and i just dont take risks i dont have to with them.Id hate to lose a good dog for the sake of £20 a dog per year
colliebird 1
http://www.freewebs.com/wolverhamptonferretboarding/distemperwarning.htm This has now also been confirmed in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and is still spreading. http://www.freewebs.com/wolverhamptonferretboarding/distemperwarning.htm http://www.petforums.co.uk/ferrets/199497-canine-disemper-ferrets.html If you are too young to know or don't know what distemper is: http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_canine_distemper.html Dogs can catch distemper from ferrets, so make sure your dog's vaccinations are up to date. It's a horrible disease. Before vaccinations existed, dogs dropped like flies, thousands dying of the disease.
