steve66 3,466
If i bought a camera with the highest iso of 6400 would that for low light shots or should i get something higher Edited December 1, 2011 by steve66
tegater 789
Really does depend on how low the light is, and what f stop and shutter speed you want to use. Trouble is at this time of year is that there is actually a lot less light than you think, as our eyes are so good at adapting to it. Also, the higher the ISO, the grainier the image will be, although that also depends on the quality, or size of the sensor. To answer your question though, 1600 should be ample for most winter photography.
steve66 3,466
Sorry made a mistake ,ment 6400
tegater 789
Yes ideal for almost everything, but you will never get the same image quality as in full light. Mine only go to 3200, but can be pushed to 6400, and they do me.
Romany 1,065
6400 is high, and unless you have a high end camera images are going to be noisy, and images would probably need some form of noise suppression..
