KittleRox 2,147
aye we were all angels when we were 16 I was no angel Rox, but I knew damn well I'd be in the shit if I got caught somewhere I shouldn't be so took great care! aye I know mate, seems to me though the glass is always half empty attitude on here ain,t encouraging the young folks, sometimes a bit bravado gets you places, I,ll give you an example,I got caught earlier this season jumping one particular fence I,ve been jumping for the last 20 odd years to do some ferreting and after a wee discussion I was granted permission , 20 years back this new found permo was just a couple of fields a big old house and steadings that were all in ruins, this place was a great place for bunnys and my first lurcher and me served our ferreting apprenticeship on this place, roughly ten years ago they rebuilt this place and all the la de da,s moved in , of course I felt like I was being robbed and carried on regardless, also a couple of other places I jump fences and wander half way up a hillside, folk stop at the roadside in there landrovers to see what I,m doing, watch me for five minutes, see what I,m doing and give me a wave, I wave back and its all good Yes all these confrontations could go the other way but I think the brave attitude gets you places and besides it beats chapping doors in the first instance and being told NO, much more exciting, Best advice for the lad I would give is If you do get caught show RESPECT, cheers Quote Link to post
