Riggerzz07 11 Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 i have a 6month old lurcher pup he is bedlington cross bull greyhound when he was 4months old he tried jumping the mesh which was up to my shoulders and broke his taws on his left back paw because he got caught and now he wont jump at all can anyone give me ideas on how to get him to jump again as i am starting him working in 2months? scothunter 12,609 Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 back to basics im afraid.he has gotten a scare by breaking his foot now he is coy.you will need to coax him with stupid little obstacles and giving him treats.as his confidence starts to return get a baby gate or a cardboard box blocking a door way.i would be very patient and dont push him.let him find his own feet and build up his own confindence.once he realises he isnt gonna hurt himself.also as he is still young that injury will still be healing so nothing to major in the jumping imo Quote Link to post Share on other sites
