martync1967 64
set off lamping last night, started to scan the fields and after the second field the lamp wouldnt switch on so i took out the switch and wired straight to the battery but still nothing, checked the bulb which was ok so we had to go home and sort it,turned out to be the wiring from the handle to the battery so i did a complete rewiring job.now its working fine but i wouldnt of been happy if i had travelled 30 or 40 miles to a permission only for that to happen.from now on im going to take spares with me just as a precaution, the lamp in question is the ucaller nite eye,we missed a potentionally good night but thats the pros and cons of lamping i guess, anyone had there night cut short due to equipment or something else,
shaunpauls7 131
The same thing has happened to mine. They are not to bad in the field with a cracking beam but when it comes to some wear and tear they are not worth the hasstle. So much for them being corrosion and shock resistant. atb shaun
