pipa 299
thanks tony, i think youres will be better cos the one i put up doesnt swivell side to side? i dont think all the cameras have the screw thread holes in the same position? mine is a finepix jx and the hole is to the far right which would be a problem i think? chris Quote Link to post
Guest scramble
some good bits of kit there lads, is there nobody in the UK making these for the airgun market? im guessing these would be very popular at the right price. would this kind of setup work ok on my webley stingray? i only ask as i think the picture would be all over the place with the spring action. scramble Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Not sure Chris, I just thought I have (at my ex wife's place) a Seben Metal detector, I also used to have a Seben 6inch reflector telescope, so I just did a search for seben and ultimtely came up with this http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/index.php?action=products&jump=133 Tony Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Scramble, you could use it with a springer, but looking at Ted's video's the camera shudders when he releaes the shot on his PCP, so yes the images would certainly be allover the place, but only while the gun finishes its recoil cycle. You would (well I should imagine) see the quarry fall over fairly clearly. I also own a springer, so when I have the mount, I'll attatch the camera's to it and give it a go Tony Quote Link to post

I keep looking on Ebay but to no joy here you go bud http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seben-DKA2-digital-camera-camcorder-adapter-PC-USB-/330497289557#ht_4713wt_1270 i used to use one but found it dropped a little so was forever pushing it back up,and to be honest a bit of yube does just the same job and it simply pulls of when u dont want it on Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
here you go bud http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_4713wt_1270 i used to use one but found it dropped a little so was forever pushing it back up,and to be honest a bit of yube does just the same job and it simply pulls of when u dont want it on I have the tube adaptor that Si (Zini) made, its great, but got damaged, I remade it with epoxy resin and it was great for the scope that Si started off with (it may not be a grands worth but it's bomb proof), I fitted the adaptor to my Leupold MK4 and the wight of the camera knocked the eyebell assembly slightly out, causing massive Paralax and focus error causing the pellets to go flying to the right by almost a foot at 40 yards! Thank feck lead is softer than marble headstones! or I'd have had to use the insurance! So for this scope I want a mount that will grip the tube or the outside of the eyebell without touching the focus ring Hence my search for Teds set up Once xmas is out of the way I've got a serious purchase list to work through, 1st being my FAC Tony Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Interesting thread! I really can't see it working too well on most springers though, if only because the cameras aren't made to cope with repeated sudden shocks and I don't think the rig would have enough time to settle down to give a good final image. Could be wrong though, be interesting to find out Quote Link to post
Daz 7 563
Good bit of kit them Sebans Tony, you can mount camera from bottom like Edgun , or turn it up side down, Plus loosen grip on side and it swings out of the way to shoot Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Yup, thats why I want one Daz, it will mount externally to all the scopes I have without damaging any of them. I got a packet through the door today from the States, it was an Apollo 11 Comemerative Medalion, went to thank the lady and remembered I have actually ordered a mount that will sit on top of the scope, Not bothered like it only cost pennies, surdy enough to mount to a downhill mountainbike and looks bombproof. I can use my ex wifes Sony for a wider shot on top if the scope and do pic in pic like Si and I did in Germany earlier this year. Tony Quote Link to post
Daz 7 563
Just learning how to use the scope cam, Don't know how to do pic in pic as i'm a Computer Numpty :icon_redface: Quote Link to post
