HALTY LAD 92
Hello Just curious, what is this stuff? Is it like lucozade for dogs to improve performance? i cant comment on its use, sorry, I have never seen any working dogs needing it, and Ive worked my dogs hard. My belifs are, that if your dogs cant cope with their work on a natural diet of (meat/bone/fat/offal) then you need to look at your management practice, as we have dogs bred for jobs that can handle hard work and will never want or need any artificial additives or drugs at all if their fit and well. Could you tell me why you use them, maybe help me understand your point of view. thanks 1 Quote Link to post

HALTY LAD 92
OK so is it to help an unfit dog do more work than it can handle? Would this not put extra strain on the heart/lungs? I will stick to keeping my dogs fit, well fed, and worked hard. But let us know how you get on with the stuff, and christ be carefull. All that crazy new potions for this and that make me damn nervous. good luck Quote Link to post
lee81 190
my dogs not unfit i do 10 mile a day on the bike you give the stuff to the dog at the end off the night to put mineras salts back in the body AFTER hard exercise it not to make them run more when thay are f##ed Quote Link to post
j1985 1,984
It just replaces the salts and sugars that the dog loses when exercising! That's all it does...it will rehydrate a dog quicker than water so is a good thing. Don't think a well exercised dog really needs it myself but alot of lads are using it so it must do something otherwise they'd spend their money on something else. Quote Link to post

Same as when youve been working hard and your f****d you might have a can of redbull or a cup of sweet tea or a mars bar etc. If you go out coursing preban and the dog is f****d you give it an electrolyte drink and a lump of venison and then plenty of rest. jf1970 328
why not buy the proper electrolite for dogs, that way you won't have to worry if your giving the wrong dosage or not, not a dig mate but if you love your dogs as much as you say, then it makes sense. Quote Link to post
