chartpolski 23,320
I had running dogs before Plummer wrote his books, and to be honest, although his books were a decent read, I still prefer Walsh, Col. Hancock, (not THAT Hancock !!), Douglas-Todd, and even Drabble, before he turned "anti" ! I remember Plummer coming up here to buy Miniture Jack Russels and Game birds...after 10 minutes of his patter, he was laughed out of the bar !! Nothing wrong with reading books, as long as you realise they are just the authors opinions ! I've read a couple of Darcy's books and enjoyed them. I sent one to a pal in Aussie who took me hunting, and I think he enjoyed it too. Reading books is fine; but won't give you the experience that actualy getting out does !! Cheers. Quote Link to post
