Marvin 193
How much exercise on a daily basis do you guys give your dogs, and if a pup is good off the lead now, will he be when he is older or is the running off thing inevitable with him being a terrier. Cheers dudes Quote Link to post

Marvin 193
I walk my pup for maybe an hour on a morning then a short 20 min on an evening, he is 12 weeks now so is this to much or is it ok, he copes well with the longer walk with no apparent probs, just dont really want to push him to hard Quote Link to post
Josh Jones 1
from 4 months walk on the lead for 10mins in the morning and 30mins off the lead in the evening from 6 months walk on the lead for 20mins in the morning and 1hour off the lead in the evening Quote Link to post
LolaPat 49
Mine got good on the recall but when shit hit a year old on my return walk she would disapear and start rabbit hunting. Got her out of that one with a few firm words. Quote Link to post
vduben 55
maybe its just me but i leave for work in the dark and return in the dark so my dogs only get one walk a day at the mo and its on the lead, im going to get my bike back out as i find its alot better for my dogs! i let one of them of the lead when i take them in the day as my dog in my avatar runs off, he never used to but he turned that magical 1 year old and all hell broke loose, ive tried every thing, long leads, electric collars, thrashings, being nice, not shouting, shouting plus more, hes just one of them dogs i guess, and the one thing he loves to do is to get to ground! foxfan 479
It is a problem to get enough exercise into dogs with a lot of drive, mine cannot be allowed off the lead as they are always rioting off on one thing or another, usualy deer. plus the worry of them dropping in. When i take them out on the bike, theres smoke coming off me brakes Edited December 2, 2011 by foxfan Quote Link to post
dixiebop 125
Marvin, since your following the Buddist Path, How is that going to sit,WHEN lil' Marv, gets to ground and Meets something hes' not going to get on with ? Quote Link to post
Marvin 193
Like i mentioned before dix, i follow the 8 fold path for mental well being, i dont really believe in sentinent beings, and nor am i vegitarian. i believe in the fact that the truth lies within us and that the way to nirvana is inside of ourselves rather than having to earn merit or pray for forgiveness, more faith in ones self than faith in a 2011 yr old story book, dude. Hope this helps Quote Link to post
