I dont know where to start.........not many of u have any idea about Pig hunting.........one dog can catch a pig this is how we here in NZ judge a good dog if it cant catch on its own its only a mutt.

kev you aint got a good dog for them then weve had plenty some inthe freezer now may have another before xmas

typical rifle man no sport in shooting game imo its alot better and enjoyable seeing a dog you brought on as a pup to do the job in hand jmo

dogs on hogs a great dvd to get see the real power of them hogs ..chuck a good dog around like a 2p piece

Aye and a bunch off brainless yahoos running around with 8" knives, stabbing hogs while the pitts holding them. theres wiser locked up.

anti alert

To begin with I'm far from what you just stated. If you knew me personnally you wouldnt have had the balls to say that only on a computer as I would bring you on much pain fella.

Have you seen the DVD in question?

I think not, well I have it, and though most off it is entertaining and the hounds work well keeping the pigs at bay till the big dogs are brought along with there chest plates to hold the hogs while the lads cut the testicales off them and then release, that's for reasons I don't think you would have the brain to understand so I won't explain it. Point is at one stage there is a big dog on a hog in a swamp and some halfwit jumps up to his chest in the water and starts swinging a knife like someone not fking wise. Not only does he nearly stabb himself and the dog but he does a pathetic job to even wound the hog while near drowning himself in the proceeds. If you don't think that's stupid then it shows me the kind off f@ckbag you are.

id say your the one with no balls. you send your dog to do a job then its only right you get in to back him up. Best you stick to the rabbits I recon.

120kg isn't that much to press if you've been training for any length of time.

Happy to prove it if anyone's bothered enough to watch thumbs.gif.

depends how many times ye gonner press it i aint trained for years me shoulders fecked but a recon ad piss 100 120 is a lot if ye aint training though

As I'm not as young as I used to be, my condition comes and goes in cycles (depending on tendonitis), but I should be able to press it between 6 and 10 times in a set.

It's only 264lbs (what I'm used to!), 300 + lbs is more impressive.

Totally agree though, for someone who doesn't/hasn't trained, 120kg is flip heavy!

Cheers

Duncan.

I have trained for 3 years now and any body who knows me knows I have a gym in my spare room. I pyramid train and I top out at 125kg I do this for my recreational sports. Its not impressive at all considering the length of time I have trained and it's only an average mans weight but I don't train to get big I train to stay healthy. I havnt trained in 3 months due to starting rugby for my town and tired off that and with the hunting, Its just bogger as always trying to have a dig but doesn't realise he's the one being laughted at.

im embarrassed at the thought of people laughing at me through a pc screen

im pretty sure you only go to rugby for the joint showers at the end of the game, but do us all a favour and put a sense of humour on your list to santa.

Aye bogger you got me, think I could do with the last part

4 big ones sighted at nature reserve in forest of dean today the backs were seen above the bracken.

See them often up there, no an area an you see them in packs of 30 odd and more. It's weird they seem to hold close to fallow which is odd don't know why, don't know if anyone else knows why ?

After watching some DVD's on this there is NO WAY ANY single handed or doubled up bull x would take any wild boar down and thats a FACT!!!

I'd agree with this. I think a leopard would struggle with a wild boar.

Leopards do struggle with boar. Bullbreeds are a lot better at subdueing large animals than leopards though. And that's a fact. Bullbreeds are adapted for tackling, well, bulls. And really all manner of very large very dangerous game. And prime specimens face to face. It's their bread and butter. Leopards target mostly inferior specimens of antelope and the odd warthog (which are actually much less formidable than boars, despite the impressive tusks, but much faster), and are happy to fail most of the time. Don't be fooled by looks and bells and whistles, dogs are typically as a rule better in their area of expertise than any wild animal, and for bullbreeds their area of expertise is going toe to toe with dangerous animals and taking the fight out of them. In this department they far excel a leopard, in fact are more comparable to a lion or tiger and arguably better than them too. Meaning you put a lion and a raging spanish bull close proximity to one another and the bull will beat the crap out of the lion practically every time, put a decent bull terrier or even bull lurcher in with a spanish bull and there's a good chance things will go very different and the dog will have it pleading uncle. Ofcourse lions and tigers are better at KILLING large animals, but they're more likely to just get demolished from the outset than a decent bullbreed based dog.

Your bull cross lurchers in the uk would be great on boars, single or in pairs, once they learned the ropes anyway. Could take one of your bull x lurchers out as a pup with some experienced pig dogs and in about a year they should end up good pig dogs that can pull up big boars one out. It's deep in their genes. Don't know how you can say it's a fact no bull x would take on a boar when probably the most successful boar dog type in the world is the bull/sighthound hybrid, be it bully greys and bully stags in australia or the gullterr/tazi hybrids in pakistan. They're just bull lurchers, and they sure as hell are good at what they do.
