Headshot08 36
After watching some DVD's on this there is NO WAY ANY single handed or doubled up bull x would take any wild boar down and thats a FACT!!! Link to post

I'd agree with this. I think a leopard would struggle with a wild boar. Link to post

HALTY LAD 92
Headshot08 I belive you may well just be trying to incite a 'certain response' from folk who genuinely hunt boar, but if you belive in what you say, I can only assume you have a very poor idea of what a good bull cross can do. Put it this way, there have been plenty of boar held with no more than a couple of terriers! What do you think of that? Unbelievable? In fact most breeds of working dogs will have, at some point or another- hunted boar or pigs. Yes damage to a holding dog (a dog that grabs the boar and hangs onto an ear) can be brutal if the dogs arent waring chest plates, thats why they wear chest plates. Their easy enough to make yourself out of webbing, seatbelts, kevlar etc. Dogs that hunt and dont hold (just baying-up the boar) will not need any protection at all. Never mind, Im probably talking to a brick wall here 3 Link to post

Ideation 8,216
After watching some DVD's on this there is NO WAY ANY single handed or doubled up bull x would take any wild boar down and thats a FACT!!! "After watching some DVD's". . . . . . . . says it all mate. You cannot base a 'fact' on what you have seen on the screen. Wild boar come in a variety of handy sizes. And some can be very much taken with one or two bull x's. The big feckers are a real test, but there are def some dogs that can handle them. Well, i know of one. Link to post
