The Weihrauch HW100 S review and accuracy test for Edgun USA

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody,

Here is a 21 minute layman’s term review of the Weihrauch HW100 S sub 12 foot pound air rifle.

My rifle is doing around 11.5 foot pounds using RWS 4.51mm .177 calibre pellets.

I did it for my American friend Ted (Edgun USA) after a message I received from him yesterday.

The review is separated into the following parts:

  1. How I came about doing the review.

  1. The rifle in general and why I like it.

  1. The magazine system.

  1. Where to fill the rifle.

  1. The trigger and cocking system.

  1. The air gauge and filling pressure tips.

  1. Accuracy testing it at 25 metres (27 yards). Shooting a 14 shot group.

  1. Re shooting of the Hunting Life Forum match stick challenge. Sorry Davy I took your title mate :toast::laugh: .

  1. A piece of equipment I wanted to show you.

Si.

Hi Si

sorry match stick challenge dose not count! as it was witnessed by no one :tongue2:

good review on the HW100 told you they were an accurate rifle! i shall have to try the challenge when i get my HW100 back!

nice shooting though 4/5 was close! :hmm:

just goes to show how small imperfection on a pellet and the result of P.O.I ,might have to weigh my pellets and check head size before attempting the next challenge

nice one Si

PS "its not over till fat Davy sings"

Im sure you will manage the perfect 10 davy.

Dont forget ive tried it 4 times in total now so have practiced well.

It does improve your shooting though i must say.

Would love to try it will a hw springer or a aa springer.

My HW100S is 5 years old, but I don't think they changed the barrels at all since then. I should have brought some 4.52's up when we last met :whistling:

It would make an interesting comparison test, especially if the range was set at 40 yards, rather than 27.

Umm good idea pal.

We could do a comparison shoot.

Your AA 4.52s against my RWS 4.51s at 40 yards.

Would be interesting to see how both brands and sizes do at range.

Can do it in june at the meet if you can make it.

Ill shoot a few groups before on camera though on a calm day to see how mine do.
