Im looking into buying a quickset long net. Something like a 50yarder.

Where from? What z? and What sort of price do i want to be paying?

Any help is much appriciated . .

Many thanks.

can't give you any advice on price or where as i'am over in ireland, but i use a 6z 100yrds, when buying make sure that it has 100% bagging, that means for every 1yrd there are 2 yrds of net, you probably knew that anyway, atb in finding what your after

i just got a brand new 50 yard quickset net in 4z from ebay for £95, fantastic bit of kit. very well put together and best of all it was cheaper than anywhere else i found. i picked it myself to save on postage the guy was very helpful.

dont use nylon mate!!! its terrible stuff that gets caught in all sourts of crap trust me! go on bridport nets and buy their SPUN NLON or hemp long nets they are the traditinal long nets they are a hell of alot better!!!

i would avoid hemp purely due to having to dry them out if they get wet whilst out just my opinion

Go for 6z not 4z it won't last.

:hmm: I think you are mistaken there! I have nets here in 4z that get used every year that are over 20 years old. All be it they are full of patches where they have been bitten through, but there again they catch rabbits.

but nylon catches on stuff!!! i hated it and all the other ferreters i know hate the stuff aswell. to be fair i like doing it all tradishinal so i use all the older stuff not like factory procuced crap

It depends on the thickness of the stuff 4z is very thin and matchine made i am not keen on these but they do last and catch rabbits i find they also catch ferrets too!most of the time anything over 6z i find very good and non tangleing and doesnt rot so its a deffinate cert for me.

Do they use polyester in long nets?
