k.andy12345 15
Like I said. Was linford Christies kids Olympic Champions? Was Muhammad ali's kids boxing world champions? Or George best, is his son a top Football player? Good parents might increase your chances by 5% but it's the owner who Makes the dog. 3 Quote Link to post

undisputed 1,664
Isn't a non working dog just a dog that hasn't been worked yet???.....looks like you've been found out whinny boy tut tut leaving things to chance like that if you were so sure about your dogs lineage and working ability why did you come down here for old gripper. Is that the way top breeders do it? Quote Link to post

birddog 1,354
Not everybody has the Privilege of knowing people with working lurchers or the contacts to buy one. I sure didn't and done the best with what resources I had. Bet there's a good number of working dogs out there from non-working parents or from rescue centres doing the job. One way I look at it(and this is only my opinion) is that a small amount can be passed down from Parents but it's what goes into the dog, the hours and what you do with it. For example look at Chris Eubanks son, doing well in the boxing but it's not because of Who his dad is, it's because he had the facilities, training and management from somebody who knows what they're doing. Or look at Ben Mitchell, his dads Phil the hardest man alive and he's gay and a fanny You do realise they are actors? what? but it's in colour i thought that meant it was real Quote Link to post
birddog 1,354
anyone can buy a greyhound pup from parents that haven't seen game for generations, rear it like a lurcher, teach the basics recall, jump, retrieve etc. and it'll be bowling over hares easily in no time. ive seen greyhounds straight off the track mauling foxes or pulling down roe (pre ban of course) with no experience or hunting background. an experienced owner or a willing and honest beginner with the cohonies to stick with their mutt and not sell it at the first setback is far more important than working parents 2 Quote Link to post
