whin 463
very wrong i had bre the bitch three times with my dog tyne then i thought what if, so bred him again three days later with someone elses dog as she is the last of that line mchapmans bob katie luke ,my thinking sheell never have another litter so wasnt going take the chance as she was a real animal and i one of the best dogs ive saw and many others , but ten by then so there you go she was 8 when bruce came up and still game as a pebble lying in nettles to get rabbs with a pinned leg , i had border lad out with her at 9 and ahalf he would tel you the rest , my dog tyne fawn saluki lurcher was father as they are all blond like him and one balck and white one like her , so there you go , if you get one real good dog at her chosen game and the last chance to reproduce her you cut the odds by going the way i done it not the [bANNED TEXT] way but it worked for me Quote Link to post
chartpolski 23,728
You still put two different dogs across your bitch. The lad who had the other dog wasn't to happy as he wasn't privvy to your breeding "plan" ! How can you plan and keep a line if you don't know which dog was the sire ????? I wouldn't go on to much about when Bruce was at yours....you know he got injured during the day, and you and Dany went lamping with your dogs only, and it wasn't a very productive night, was it ? Cheers. Edited November 29, 2011 by chartpolski Quote Link to post

WILF 46,976
I remember a "rescue dog" that did very well, and is still doing it at eight. Cheers. We all know that there are quiet a few dogs out there that are breeding unknown and do very well indeed, so like most things, nothing is set in stone. All you can ever do is try and stack the odds, be that by work history or blood stock history/pedigree.......call it what you will. Quote Link to post

I find it amusing when certain people don't practice what they preach, though ! LOL ! Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Any one else think Simo,s posts are getting more like Whins everyday. I'm just waiting for the keywords to confirm his transformation: Rabs, lobsters, phessies, Tor of Dartmoor, D. Sleight.. Im going to blame the faulty keyboard, BUT it could be dementia as i am getting a taste for tinned salmon and battenberg Quote Link to post
k.andy12345 15
Whin/ whine. Your a laugh. Just seen on another thread you charge people to take them out! How much do you charge for that then? You must be the best dogman in britain to think so highly of Yourself! Yeah you increase the chances of getting a good worker by getting from proven stock But it's not the be all and end all. Bet there's some dogs from pet parents and dogs from frowned upon places that would put your dogs to shame and run them into the ground. You Think you've got fecking coursing champions in your kennels. Harping on about your morals, sticking to what You know but the truth is your just like everybody else. Not some working dog god who only has to touch a lead and the dog is the bollox. Quote Link to post
whin 463
bullshit mate the best way to get good workers is to breed good workers saw dogs at 14 months and twelve caching daylite why cause there fathers were champions at there game ,if you by of un know dogs then you cant see a line develop , many years ago bought a dog sniper was father by the time the dog was a year nailing roe hares, bred a dog to my dog one a coursing cup caching game at 14 months ,bred a bitch 3 seasons ago father 3 out of 3 dog mother good qality grew , pups all doinfg the biz daylite nite time on game , so to me thats breeding not chance mating, anybody can see that ,you play your way i do it my way , just like the colie line m chapmans bob one feild traild d slieghts katie runner up they bred a litte ri got a pup , pup turned out good natural fetcher now 3 generaitions down they still fetch naturaly thtas breeding and feisty for colie type you have achampion greyhound more chance of getting another same as feild trail winners in gun dogs or working terriers Quote Link to post
whin 463
so what you saying go to a silly dog pound or puppy peddlear and you have the same chance of generaitions of dogs bred for the job bull shit Quote Link to post
