You get a well bred pup and then put all the work you can into it, training and rearing is great but the fact is you can't polish a turd... Quote Link to post
smallfoot 118
true, i know what your saying but does work both ways i know of a few guys that have bought well bred dogs from good tried and tested back round and have spared no expence and the dogs did not perform it does let you see breeding and that the parents can perform and are the cross you are looking for but guarentees nothing just my opnion Quote Link to post
KieHound 0
seems to me most people thinks it important for a solid working background wich ye i gotta agree its more apealing but its down to you to put time effort & training into shaping the dog for work. whats peoples opinions on hancocks dogs ? Its NOT all down to the time and effort you put in, of course you need to BUT not all will meet your expectations, unfortunately thats life. As for Hancocks dogs, many people do well with the, many don't. Personally as i have said, why buy a pup from parents tht have done nothing apart from stare at the four walls of its kennel..........
