What's going on with this forum

Some of the shite I have bin reading on THL lately as bin bad.. I no their is alot of keen dog men on ere that put lots of good stuff up.. But some of the stuff people are putting is absolute shite. Are these people really serious. Taking a 9 week old pup lamping as just topped the bill for me..

mate i was going jack the site at its went down hill ,but im not a quitter , i realy think they get a buzz we have the most people on the hunting life maybe more people more money they get , me personaly i would love a site were its only for hunting here and far away with little laws to worry about and freedom of speach but alas wil never happen in this country ,lots of people has never amased to lots of knowledge ,if i was amoderator i would get rid of silly things and keep it real for just genuine hunting people and keep a area for messewrs and pet owners

so you think its wrong to say the way you train your pup if you dont like it dont try it just give the lad a chance what i dont like is bullshit if iv got something black whins got something blacker if he,s an old man i under stand if hes not maybe the bowl he lives in is not so big as he thinks it is i thought the lad who took the 9 week pup out was a right idiot,yesterday me and the misses went for our usual walk over the mountains we took the old dog with us and i thought fcuk it il take my 10 week old put just to see for my self to start with the pup walked behind after a mile or so he was up in front with the old dog and stayed there till we got home i fed him and he went straight to sleep maybe pups are like kids they sleep when there board its got me thiking whose the the idiots us or him

i can tell you whats wrong with this site.

 

too many people think they have the business, whether it be ferreting, dog or equipment. somebody posts a thread to sell a dog and it get jumped on 'PEDDLAR' etc. new people to this site ask questions and they get shot down. yeah some questions are stupid but then they mustnt know the answer or they wouldnt be asking?

 

if there wasnt new people to the sport then the sport would die out with the golden oldies on here. i think there are a lot of people who dont want to help other people out, they do thier own thing with their own crowd and thats fine, but when somebody has no connections in the sport or even family in the area then they are on their own. all it takes is a few people to take them out, talk sense to them, give them a bit of their time and be there for any advice. give them the confidence they need to run their first dog etc. doesnt really take much.

 

there are many people on here who dont like to see others do well, they dont want to take them out on the lamp and teach them the tricks of the trade because one day they might have a dog better than theirs! so true

 

i get a lot out of this site and met a few people who are spot on. just think the times are changing and some people need to move with it.

cant see the piont in taking people out who are clueless , and buy running dogs before they get to know whats what, we always done an apprentiship living and being brought up in mining areas , there always was poachers and there type ,and you learnt of them by doing the graft ,but was mostly close freinds family best way
