maitland93 13
well me father bought me a dog off me uncles mate in hartlepool, which a would of liked to pick it up me self but a thought it was a nice thing to do as a had only seen me father about 3 times in 15 year. when he heard that my bitch had been killed he hunted abut and bought me a little black and tan pup. which is apparantly gunna make 24 25tts which a doubt and was told he was a saluki, collie grey to a beddy grey any way the pup is now 8 month old with the tinyest bit knuckle left and stands at 21tts. however av been doing a bit ferreting laterly and he just clicked the second time out which am well chufed about and on a few occations we would have went home empty handed if me pup wasnt there as the rabbits sliping the nets and bolting un netted holes. he is just rapid around the holes and is a realy alert and obediant dog who doesnt wander the holes he just marks up and sits at the ready. any way had him out on the lamp a few times which now he runs the beam buy him self and is spotting the rabbits at a far distance. he has only had 2 lamped rabbits which a think is realy good for round my area and a think he would be brilliant in small padock fields etc... so far so good but there is some decent land near me which holds a fair share of long ears big open land aswell which a done with me old bitch but a just dont think me pup will be quick enough to do the day time long ears so am simply not gunna do them and stick to rabbits here is a pick of him from last week 1 Quote Link to post
