Carraghs Gem 1,675
the same would be good for the law regarding terrierwork in the south Quote Link to post
SON OFF SHAM 34
Fox hunting in Northern Ireland would have been banned had the Foster Bill become law. However, by the time of subsequent hunting legislation in the House of Commons, the Northern Ireland Assembly had been established and the hunting issue had been devolved to that body. A Hunting Bill was introduced into the Northern Ireland Assembly but rejected in December 2010. Quote Link to post
stop.end 4,082
the hunting bill was dejected.... but law here is very similar to england scot wales where the rspca and the uspca are concerned... so same rules apply here really...only 1 terrier used to ground at any 1 time....welll thats a must... only nets to be placed at holes .... lurchers aint allowed to kill in a stop end but are when they are on the run.. written permission at all times and the vehicle that your going out in must be taxed and insured lol ...other than that WORK AWAY ..atb Quote Link to post
Guest thebigdog
simple answers, in north, fox fair game above and below, badger illegal in south the same uspca can take you to court but will never get a conviction, provided your not a proper retard 1 Quote Link to post

Mr pockets 20
thanks lads for the info its just good to be abit clearer on the laws of working dogs as they seem to change to suit sometimes. i think the main thing they are looking is if a dog is showing signs of cruelty like one having a dog chewed up with no proper vet care.which to me is correct.doesnt have to be a vet but anyone who works dogs terriers and lurchers should know how to look after a dog that has just been worked or has an injury.
