underdog1985 27
i think it reduces the ultimate athlete of the british countryside to a mediocre quarry that substandard dogs can catch PS im no snob its just my opinion Quote Link to post
hullhunter 219
depends on the rabbits and were you are running them. round my way everywere is lamped to death you have to slip your dogs on rabbits at 200 yards that have started running full pelt soon as the lamp is but on. if your dog can get up to it before it hits the hedge its done well never mind putting a bend into it or even catching it. im sure ive all ready said this tho lol Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
Id agree that it does,nt take much of a dog to bag up on bunny,s,but, rabbits are the mainstay of most lurchers and offer rewarding days and nights in the field,if you did,nt have the humble bunny to chase about you would have to many blank, fruitless days out.Never take such an humble quarry for granted, the lurcher world would be so much less rewarding without mr. rabbit. 2 Quote Link to post

KittleRox 2,147
so if you specialise in the humble bunny and keep rabbiting dogs you therefore keep substandard dogs, awe ffs Quote Link to post
