Just out of interest I was wondering does the price of rabbit vary across the country

 

So.....How much are people getting from their butchers/gamedealers for rabbits?

 

Also how are you selling them? i.e as they come? gutted? skinned?

1.50 gutted or swap for chicken/game pie/venison/beef what ever he sells. the wife wont cook bunnys as she thinks there for stroking and i have no pets so i have to do a trade off with the butcher

The local game dealer here gives you 60p for a clean rabbit gutted with jackets on and thats decent size ones,

 

 

But i never sell him any, Prefere to use it for the pot and dog/ferret food and anybody eles that wants any instead of selling to him for that price

You are kidding? Most of the spare meat I produce and catch is traded/swapped. It's the way of the cuntry!

most of the locals give me £1.50 for a rabbit ,i did have a butcher offer me £1each gutted and skinned ,i told him i would rather give them to the dog or away for free, rather than take his pound ,he sells them for a £5 each the cheecky bas*ard. to be honest i can sell far more than i catch ,i also feed the dogs a barf diet and eat them myself .i also give a few away to elderly relatives who love em ,keeps me in a few peoples good books and ive had many favors returned ......jim
