hullhunter 219
hi all im going to be building an aviary after Christmas. the flight will me 7tf tall 2m wide and 7m long. now what i would like to know is what birds i will be able to keep together. so if someone could take a bit of time to write me a list i would much appreciate it. i will be mostly looking at finches and anything else i can keep with them. the more different types i can keep in the same flight the better. all info will be taken on bored also can english be kept with foreign? thanks. hullhunter
paulus 26
you definatly want a sparrow hawk you can keep finchs, canarys and british together, with that size of flight you wont have a problem. zebras and bengaleese are hardy. be carefull with some of the less hardy foreign finches

staffy 0
As Paulus said with flight that size you will have no prob housing most breeds together, you could also add redpoll, siskin, linnet, as long as they are aviary bred rung. With the foreign i would stick with the zebras and bengalese as these are the hardiest, others are very sensitive to cold and sometimes hard to climatise... owls, gouldians ..etc,and with the price the rarer foreign species are making it can become very expensive hobby especially if there dropping dead due to cold and stress. Another factor you will have to think of is if you will be planning on breeding come spring,if so you will need seperate flights as you will have awful hassle with individuals interfering with each others nests, eggs and young.
