Simoman 110 Posted November 26, 2011 Report Share Posted November 26, 2011 I would love to see bears, wolves, lynx etc roaming our countryside but the sad fact is that only Scotland has any chance of supplying enough space and food to hold these predators, and to be honest i think the only predator that could be safely released without danger to people is the lynx, and I could only see them taking the odd red calf. I doubt anybody would dare risk releasing a bear as the first mauling would produce a frenzy, and wolves would also find highland sheep easier than deer. The fact is unless predators were released in carefully manged areas it wouldn't work, unfortunately this Island is over populated and the days of large predators being allowed to roam pur countryside are over........... At least they were trying to be objective about it last night - bet the stalker was over the moon when that woman rocked up wearing a white puffa jacket and white bobble hat.
